Histamine Nutrients supports a healthy response to high-histamine foods, enhanced with cofactors for comprehensive histamine processing, making it ideal for histamine intolerance protocols. It provides 5,000 HDU of DAO, the primary enzyme for histamine breakdown, along with copper to support DAO activity. SAMe serves as a cofactor for HNMT, another key enzyme in histamine metabolism. Alpha Keto-Glutarate aids in the breakdown of ammonia, a byproduct of histamine processing, while riboflavin supports MAOA and MAOB enzymes to neutralise histamine byproducts. Zinc and vitamin B3 act as cofactors for the ALDH enzyme family, helping to break down acetaldehyde, another histamine byproduct.
