Molybdenum provides 500 mcg of molybdenum glycinate chelate in a convenient capsule, supporting sulfur and sulfite metabolism. This essential trace element acts as a cofactor for enzymes like sulfite oxidase (SUOX), which breaks down sulfites from foods like dried fruits, wine and citrus. High sulfite levels may cause symptoms such as headaches, sinus issues and skin reactions, especially in those with low SUOX activity. Molybdenum also supports aldehyde oxidase (AO) and xanthine oxidase (XO), enzymes involved in detoxifying aldehydes, drugs and alcohol.
