EnviroTox – Comprehensive Toxin Screening (3-in-1 Urine Test)
EnviroTox offers a powerful overview of your toxic burden using a single urine sample. It combines three key tests:

- ToxDetect: Screens for 19 urinary metabolites linked to everyday environmental pollutants, including pesticides, phthalates, bisphenol S, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs).

- Organic Acids Test (OAT): Measures 76 metabolites to evaluate metabolic health, nutrient status, and detoxification capacity.

- Glyphosate Measurement: Assesses exposure to glyphosate, a widely used herbicide commonly found in food and the environment.

Only one urine sample is needed to gain insight into your exposure to common toxicants and your body's ability to process and eliminate them.

EnviroTox Complete – Advanced 4-in-1 Environmental Toxin Test
EnviroTox Complete builds on the core EnviroTox panel by adding a Mycotoxin screen, making it one of the most thorough environmental toxin assessments available:

Includes everything in the standard EnviroTox:

- ToxDetect (19 pollutants)

- Organic Acids Test (76 markers)

- Glyphosate exposure

- Plus: Mycotox Panel – Detects 11 common mycotoxins produced by 41 mould species typically found in damp or water-damaged buildings, vehicles, and contaminated food.

This expanded panel provides an in-depth look at 96 metabolites and potential exposure to environmental and biological toxins—all from a single urine sample.

This urine screen kit is posted to you from the UK within 24-48 hours of ordering so you should receive your test kit within a few days via DHL.

The kit comes with full instructions on urine collection and storage. We recommend you take your sample first thing in the morning. The sample comes with a freezer bag. Please freeze your sample for a minimum of 4 hours before you send it back.

You can then arrange DHL to collect your sample.

When we receive your results back from the laboratory in the USA (approx 4-5 weeks) we will email you your PDF report along with our functional medicine advice to support your recovery depending on which package option you selected at checkout.

Both options use the same single urine collection, but they differ in scope:

EnviroTox (3 screens) combines ToxDetect (19 environmental chemical metabolites), the Organic Acid Test (76 metabolites), and Glyphosate — covering pesticides, phthalates, bisphenols, VOCs, parabens, perchlorate, glyphosate, and a comprehensive metabolic and nutritional assessment
EnviroTox Complete (4 screens) adds the MycoTOX panel, which screens for 11 mycotoxins produced by 41 species of mould commonly found in water-damaged buildings, vehicles, and food — including Aflatoxin M1, Ochratoxin A, Gliotoxin, Zearalenone, and Sterigmatocystin
If mould exposure is a known or suspected concern — for example, if you live or work in a property with damp, visible mould, or a history of water damage — EnviroTox Complete is the recommended option. If your primary concern is chemical exposure without a mould component, the standard EnviroTox panel covers the chemical and metabolic picture comprehensively.

The collection process is straightforward. You provide a single first-morning urine sample using the collection kit included with your test. Once collected, place the sample in the freezer bag provided and freeze it for a minimum of four hours before arranging your return. Your kit is shipped to you via DHL within 24–48 hours of ordering, and DHL collection for the return journey can be arranged at no additional cost. Full step-by-step instructions are included, and the instruction PDF is also available on the product page.

The MycoTOX component, included only in the EnviroTox Complete option, screens for 11 mycotoxins produced by 41 species of mould:

Aflatoxin M1 (AFM1) — produced by Aspergillus species; found in contaminated food, particularly grains and nuts
Ochratoxin A (OTA) — produced by Aspergillus and Penicillium; one of the most common mycotoxins in water-damaged buildings and food
Roridin E (ROE) and Verrucarin A (VRA) — macrocyclic trichothecenes produced by Stachybotrys (black mould)
Zearalenone (ZEA) — produced by Fusarium; an oestrogenic mycotoxin that can disrupt hormonal balance
Chaetoglobosin A (CHA) — produced by Chaetomium species found in water-damaged materials
Citrinin / Dihydrocitrinone (DHC) — produced by Penicillium and Aspergillus; nephrotoxic properties
Enniatin B (ENB) — produced by Fusarium; commonly found in grain-based foods
Gliotoxin (GTX) — produced by Aspergillus fumigatus; immunosuppressive and often elevated in patients with mould-related illness
Mycophenolic Acid (MPA) — produced by Penicillium species; immunosuppressive
Sterigmatocystin (STC) — produced by Aspergillus; a precursor to aflatoxin with carcinogenic potential
If you suspect mould exposure but do not need the chemical and metabolic assessment, we also offers the MycoTOX panel as a standalone test.

ToxDetect measures 19 metabolites across the following environmental toxicant categories:

Phthalates — MEP, MBP, MEHP, MEOHP, MiBP: found in plastics, food packaging, personal care products, and household items; phthalates are endocrine disruptors that interfere with hormone signalling
Volatile organic compounds (VOCs) — 2-3-4-MHA, PGO, NAP, NACE, NAPR, NADB, HEMA: found in paints, solvents, cleaning products, new furniture, and building materials
Pesticides — 2,4-D, 3-PBA (pyrethroid metabolite), DEP (organophosphate metabolite), DPP, Atrazine Mercapturate: exposure through food, water, garden chemicals, and agricultural runoff
Bisphenols — BPA and BPS: found in plastic bottles, food can linings, thermal receipt paper, and some dental materials
Parabens — Methylparaben, Ethylparaben, Propylparaben, Butylparaben: preservatives widely used in cosmetics, moisturisers, shampoos, and food products
UV filter — Oxybenzone: a common ingredient in chemical sunscreens
Perchlorate — found in some water supplies and associated with thyroid disruption

The OAT provides 76 urinary metabolites that reveal how your body is coping with its current toxic load at a metabolic level. Environmental toxins do not just sit passively in the body — they disrupt mitochondrial energy production, deplete key nutrients, overwhelm detoxification pathways, and can promote yeast and bacterial overgrowth in the gut. By including the OAT alongside the chemical and mycotoxin screens, the report shows the functional consequences of exposure: whether your mitochondria are under stress, whether B vitamins, CoQ10, and glutathione precursors are depleted, whether yeast or Clostridia markers are elevated, and whether oxalate and neurotransmitter metabolism has been disrupted. This dual perspective — which toxins are present, and how the body is responding — gives our practitioners a far more actionable picture than a toxin screen alone would provide.

Yes — this test ships worldwide via DHL. For most countries you can simply select your location at checkout. If you are based in Australia, Bahrain, Bermuda, Canada, Hong Kong, India, New Zealand, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Africa, the United Arab Emirates, or the USA, you will need to contact the clinic for a shipping quote before ordering. The frozen urine sample is returned via DHL, and international return arrangements are included with your kit instructions.

This test is suitable for anyone aged 2 years and over who suspects that environmental toxin exposure may be contributing to their health problems. It is particularly relevant if you:

Experience chronic fatigue, brain fog, headaches, or chemical sensitivity that has not been explained by standard investigations
Have joint or muscle pain, skin issues, or respiratory symptoms that may be linked to environmental exposure
Live or work in a building with damp, visible mould, or a history of water damage (EnviroTox Complete recommended)
Work in agriculture, gardening, or an industry with regular pesticide, herbicide, or chemical exposure
Use personal care products, cleaning agents, or plastics that may contain phthalates, parabens, or bisphenols and want to quantify your body's exposure
Want a single comprehensive test that assesses both the toxin burden and its metabolic impact — rather than running multiple separate panels
Have had unexplained metabolic or nutritional findings on previous testing and want to investigate whether environmental toxins are an underlying driver

The EnviroTox package provides a comprehensive picture of environmental toxin burden and metabolic impact, but additional testing can help our practitioners understand the body's capacity to detoxify and recover:

If you want to understand your genetic ability to clear toxins — the 'Detoxification DNA Report' from Lifecode GX identifies gene variants affecting phase I and phase II detoxification pathways, glutathione conjugation, and oxidative stress management.
If liver detoxification function needs to be assessed directly — the 'Hepatic Detox Profile' measures phase I and phase II liver output in a urine sample.
If heavy metal exposure is also suspected — the 'Toxic Metal Urine Screen' or 'Hair Toxic Metal and Essential Elements Test' can identify whether metals are contributing alongside the chemical and mould burden.
If mineral depletion is a concern — the 'Minerals & Metals DNA Test' reveals how your genes influence absorption and utilisation of key protective minerals such as zinc, selenium, and magnesium.
