Heavy metal poisoning occurs when the body’s soft tissues absorb excessive amounts of certain metals. Exposure can happen through various sources, including contaminated food, air or water pollution, industrial environments, certain medications, food containers with improper coatings, or old lead-based paints.
Common symptoms of heavy metal toxicity—regardless of the specific metal—may include diarrhoea, nausea, abdominal pain, vomiting, shortness of breath, tingling sensations in the hands and feet, chills, and persistent weakness. If you've experienced any of these symptoms over a prolonged period and conventional medical tests have not provided clear answers, it may be worth considering heavy metal testing via urine or hair sample.
Toxicity can present as either acute or chronic. Long-term exposure may lead to progressive muscular, physical, and neurological degeneration, mimicking conditions such as Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, and Alzheimer’s disease.
This laboratory report will detail your levels of key heavy metals and provide personalised recommendations for correcting imbalances. Testing is performed by Doctor’s Data Inc., a highly regarded laboratory based in the USA.
