The test kits are declared as '$2 per kit value' and usually (90% of the time) do not require customs import fees. However, some destination country customs agents may decide (unfortunately, it does seem to be at the discretion of the individual agent) to apply charges, and this is beyond our control and beyond the control of the courier. In the unlikely event this happens, your courier will notify you if an import fee is due before delivering to you. How do you test for methylation in the UK? The test is a simple, non-invasive oral sample (cheek swab). The only requirement is to abstain from eating, brushing teeth, chewing gum, drinking or smoking for at least 30 minutes before testing. Any lipstick or lip balm should be wiped clean before providing the sample. See instructions HERE. See video instructions for taking sample HERE . There are no special storage or transport requirements and you can return any day of the week. You can take this test at any time of day, there is no need to stop taking medications or supplements prior to taking your sample. As long as cheek swabs are stored in the dry pouch with the desiccant that is provided with the buccal swab kit, samples remain viable for up to 6 months.

No. As we're testing the genetic code, which is fixed, the test is not impacted by illness, infections, medication, the food you eat, or supplements you take. To avoid contamination of the sample, please abstain from eating / drinking for at least 1 hour before methylation DNA testing. Continue taking all your prescription medications and supplements as normal but please note them on your patient form at checkout.

As long as cheek swabs are returned in the buccal swab kit pouch, DNA samples remain viable for up to 6 months on a cotton swab.

The return package provided for these countries has prepaid postage affixed on it so if you live in the UK, USA, Australia or Canada you can simply pop your sample into any postbox for free returns. We do recognise that some patients prefer to send samples via courier for peace of mind. If you choose this option, you will need to pay for return courier fees. B) Follow up 45-minute video call to discuss your results and answer any questions you have. Once the lab has completed your DNA results you will be sent these via email with a link to book a time and day online. We have excellent zoom appointment availability with appointment slots usually available next day. You will also then be given the option to upgrade your 45-minute call to a 60-minute call for an additional £30 if you wish. During the call your practitioner will explain the results in more detail and what they mean for you. You can ask questions and ask the practitioner to focus on the genes that affect your specific health goals if you wish. After your call you are sent a personalised list of supplements & the dose your practitioner advises with links to purchase from our supplements store. This is for your convenience. You are of course welcome to purchase supplements elsewhere. Zoom calls are recorded (unless you request otherwise) and you are sent a link to download your video after your call so you can refer back to this for years to come as a reminder. Once you have ordered via our website you will receive an email notification when your kit has been shipped to you via FedEx with a tracking number. Please allow 2-3 working days for your kit to arrive in UK. You can then freepost your sample back to the lab via Royal Mail 1st class (for UK). Prepaid stamped return envelopes are also included for USA, Australia & Canada. All other international orders are NOT freepost returns so you will need to use the addressed envelope and arrange courier back to the labs. Once you have sent back your sample we will email you to let you know that it has been safely received at the lab and your genotyping has started. Results are then ready in 3 weeks and are emailed to you along with either the link to book your zoom call or your written report. You will not hear from us during the time your sample is being processed unless there is an issue with your sample. Please note that we will email lab results to the email address provided at checkout. As an additional extra, if you select to order a printed copy of your results you will receive a personalised A4 size, glossy, colour printed brochure posted to you approximately 2 weeks after your PDF is sent to you.
